The Nebelwerfer 42 was a 5 barrel rocket-launching artillery piece. Each barrel fired 250 pound 210mm rockets out to a range of about 8000 metres. The loud screeching noise of the rounds led U.S. soldiers in the Sicily campaign to nickname the gun the "Screaming Mimi" and "Moaning Mini".
