Shipping details and postage costs
While we endeavour to get items out as quickly as possible, and on occasion will manage 24 hours, we remain (despite appearances!) a small company with the majority of people involved working full time in other jobs and covering things in their spare time. Therefore, please bear with us if your order takes a little longer to process than expected! Our standard shipping time is 14 days from the day of order, but up to 28 days for custom built items.
Our web system calculates postage costs by a table, based on the final value of the order.
UK 10% (minimum £1.00, maximum £10.00)
Europe 20% (minimum £2.00)
Rest of World 30% (minimum £3.00)
We understand that 30% may seem lot (which is why we have established distributors and retailers in the USA, Australasia and some parts of Europe) but from experience this does genuinely reflect the costs involved with shipping orders. In fact, particularly on larger orders, we often find that it costs us more in basic shipping costs (before we take into account packing materials and labour costs) than we are charging. We have had customers who have requested that we only charge the actual shipping cost, but they have changed their minds when they have seen just how much that may be...
Most items are cast to order, to ensure the latest version and best quality is supplied. Should an item not be available, due to remoulding, delayed masters or it being a third party item we will endeavour to fill the order within about three weeks. This can particularly be an issue if we have to advertise items in the wargames press as the lead time between placing an advert and production can sometimes result in the advert being out before the item is available - with new items please be patient! There is a space on the order form to indicate how you would prefer us to handle your order in the event of an item being unavailable.
We do not process cheques or credit cards before items are sent.
Please note, due to the large range of figures we have, we are generally only able to carry limited quantities to shows, normally 4-6 of each item. If you intend to collect a quantity of items at a show, please notify us at least 1 week prior so that we can cast your order specially and avoid disappointments.
Items ordered by mail order are subject to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. The regulations give consumers an unconditional right to cancel an order - this is to allow the consumer the opportunity to examine the goods.
If you (the consumer) cancel an order, written notice must be provided to us (the manufacturer) within seven working days from the day after that on which the goods are received. Where a contract is cancelled, the consumer must ensure that reasonable care is taken of any goods received and return them to us
We will then refund your money as soon as possible and, at the latest, within 30 days of receiving the written notice of cancellation.
If your item is faulty, due to ordering, packing or casting errors, contact us immediately so wwe can discuss the best option for issuing you with a replacement. Please note that, within reason, we will supply certain lost parts such as the odd wheel or gun, at no charge.
QRF Models Limited reserve the right to alter packs without notice. In certain cases upgraded products may be supplied at no extra cost. Whilst every care has been taken to check the information in this catalogue for accuracy, QRF Models Limited accept no liability for any errors or omissions.
