Type 42 Batch 3 DDG

The Type 42s were built as air-defence destroyers and were the first to have gas turbine propulsion.  The Batch 3 ships capitalised on experience in the Falklands War and the design was stretched to improve sea-keeping and economy and the internal design was also changed.
